DESCRIPTION
The Unyielding Lance of the Divine Champion is a +5 called greater dragon bane holy adamantine retractable lance of jousting and crafted by a powerful warpriest to serve honorable knights in battle. The greater dragon bane quality deals 4d6 damage against all dragons. It also possesses the Wyrmslayer ability described below. The Unyielding Lance of the Divine Champion has the ability to retract on command to the size and weight of a shortspear.
POWERS
The Unyielding Lance of the Divine Champion grants the following spell-like abilities. 

Spell-Like Abilities (CL 20, concentration +22)
  • At Will–bless, unbreakable heart
  • 3/day–aura of greater courage, blessing of courage and life, spear of purity (hurled from the tip of the lance instead of a holy symbol)
  • 1/day–blessing of fervor, blessing of luck and resolve (mass), holy ice, light lance
SPECIAL ABILITIES

Knight's Banner 

Once per day, the wielder of the Unyielding Lance of the Divine Champion can command a banner to unfurl at the end of the lance. This banner functions as a Knight's Banner and its effect (A, B, or C) must be chosen at the time the command is given. When the wielder uses this ability, the handle of the lance may be planted in the ground like a pole. The banner remains for 10 minutes per level of the wielder. 

Wyrmslayer  

Once per week, when a successful critical hit is made against an evil dragon, the Unyielding Lance of the Divine Champion deals damage as a greater arrow of slaying.
HISTORY
The Unyielding Lance of the Divine Champion was crafted and enchanted by a warpriest named Irick of Zentha, in the year 2680, on the eve of the organization of the Knights of Bloodstone for the first Knight-General and leader of the knightly order. Over the years it was passed from one noble knight to another as reward for their honor and prowess in battle. However, it wasn't until it fell into the possession of one Sir Theoric Uharis, a Knight-Captain of the order, that its full potential was realized. It was when Theoric faced a powerful black dragon in battle, that he critically wounded the beast, and the lance unleashed powerful magic, smiting the dragon dead in a single blow. From that point on, Theoric became known as Wyrmslayer, and would face and defeat three more dragons in his long career, earning him great renown. 

The Unyielding Lance of the Divine Champion vanished and resurfaced multiple times over the centuries, and was lost for nearly a millennium, until it was rediscovered in an ancient and powerfully enchanted vault with a number of other artifacts by the heroes of the Off-Worlder War; Odorian Lightbringer, Wu Yan Ravenhill, Aragast Anadriel, and Blackroot Brambleburr. The lance was wielded by the heroine Kirri Lightbringer during the war, and for many years afterwards, until her death years later. Since then, the lance now roams the world of its own free will, seeking those who are of noble heart to wield it in defense of a worthy cause.
