Wulf Witch (Lupurn, Witch Archetype)

Among the lupurns are witches who focus on their natural wolfish heritage. Wulf witches gain powers that allow them to command and summon canine creatures, and even transform into wolves themselves.

Class Features
The wulf witch has the following class features.

Wolf Companion (Su): At 1st level, a wulf witch gains the druid’s animal companion ability. She may only choose a wolf-like animal companion (dog, hyena, wolf), and uses her witch level as her druid level to determine her wolf companion’s abilities. This wolf companion also functions like a witch’s familiar, for the purpose of learning and storing her spells. This ability otherwise functions as and replaces witch’s familiar.

Wolf Magic: A wulf witch adds the following spells to her spell list at the indicated spell levels: 1st–call animal (canines only), calm animals, charm animal, magic fang (self or wolf companion only), speak with animals; 2nd–animal trance, hold animal, reduce animal (canines only); 3rd–beast shape I (canines only), magic fang (greater) (self or wolf companion only); 4th–atavism (animal companion only), beast shape II (canines only), bloody claws (self or wolf companion only), ghost wolf; 5th–animal growth (canines only), aspect of the wolf, beast shape III (canines only), raise animal companion; 6th–beast shape VI (canines only); 7th–animal shapes (canines only); 8th–atavism (mass) (animal companion only). In addition, witch spells that normally affect a witch’s familiar (such as polymorph familiar or share shape) affect the wulf witch’s wolf companion.

Hex: A wulf witch can choose from the following hexes restricted to the Wulf Witch lupurn racial archetype.

Curse Breaker (Su): This acts as the remove curse spell, using the wulf witch’s caster level. Once a creature has benefited from the curse breaker hex, it cannot benefit from it again for 24 hours. The wulf witch must be at least 6th level to select this hex.

Wolf Shape (Su): At 4th level, a wulf witch gains the ability to turn herself into any Small or Medium wolf-like animal (dog, hyena, wolf, etc.) and back again once per day. Her options for new forms include all wolf creatures with the animal type. This ability functions like the beast shape I spell, except as noted here. The effect lasts for 10 minutes per wulf witch level, or until she changes back. Changing form (to wolf or back) is a standard action and doesn't provoke an attack of opportunity. The form chosen must be that of a wolf-like creature the wulf witch is familiar with.

A wulf witch, however, does not lose her ability to speak while in animal form, and can communicate normally with other wolf-like creatures of the same general grouping as her new form.

A wulf witch can use this ability an additional time per day at 7th level and every three levels thereafter, for a total of six times at 19th level. As a wulf witch gains in levels, this ability allows the wulf witch to take on the form of larger and smaller wolf-like creatures. Each form expends one daily usage of this ability, regardless of the form taken.

At 6th level, a wulf witch can use wolf shape to change into a Large or Tiny wolf-like animal (dire wolf, etc.). When taking the form of a wolf-like animal, a wulf witch's wolf shape now functions as beast shape II.

At 8th level, a wulf witch can use wild shape to change into a Huge or Diminutive wolf-like animal. When taking the form of wolf-like animals, a wulf witch's wolf shape now functions as beast shape III.

At 10th level, a wulf witch can use wolf shape to change into a Small or Medium wolf-like magical beast.

At 12th level, a wulf witch can use wolf shape to change into a Large or Tiny wolf-like magical beast. When taking the form of a wolf-like magical beast, the wulf witch's wolf shape now functions as beast shape IV.

This ability replaces hexes gained at 4th, 10th, and 16th level.

Major Hex: A wulf witch gains the major hex ability at 12th level. In addition, she can choose from the Cure Afflicted Lycanthrope or Curse of Lycanthropy major hex. These 
major hexes restricted to the Wulf Witch lupurn racial archetype. 

Grand Hex: A wulf witch can choose from the following grand hexes restricted to the Wulf Witch lupurn racial archetype. 

Cure Natural Lycanthrope (Su): Once per month, the wulf witch can remove the curse of lycanthrope from a creature with natural lycanthrope. Removing it requires her to touch the creature for 10 minutes, after which time the curse is removed. If this contact is broken at anytime during the process, the attempt is wasted. This effect functions as the miracle or wish spell for the purpose of removing the curse of lycanthrope.
