Iron Gauntlets of the Raging Flame

Slot hands; Aura strong abjuration and evocation; CL 20th; Weight 2 lbs.

DESCRIPTION

Forged long ago by a fire giant shaman, this pair of huge metal gloves appear like mundane iron gauntlets to the casual viewer. However, the truly astute realize otherwise. The Iron Gauntlets of the Raging Flame are masterly forged from blackened cold iron, trimmed in bronze, with a single flame engraved on the back of the palms. A set of three-inch blades are mounted to the hand plates of the gauntlets, allowing them to function as +4 flaming cold iron bladed gauntlets. While the Iron Gauntlets of the Raging Flame appear far too large for any but those of giantkind to wear, their enchantment allows them to shrink to fit the size of the wearer.

HISTORY

The Gauntlets of the Raging Flame have vanished and resurfaced throughout the ages on numerous occasions, the most recent was during the Off-Worlder War nearly 250 years ago. Of its own volition, the gauntlets came into the possession of the heroes of the war, Kirri Lightbringer, Farak Thunderstrike Clarn Azuremoon, Baras Vi'Ettsun, Varasis Glding III, Shadeem Arndall, and Felnik Kelwane, who used the gauntlets' power to help destroy the source of the Black Lord Vulkhan's vast power, and thus, end the war. Lost once again, the world awaits the artifact's return to aid those in need of its power.
