Thrane Drones

Thrane drones are strong, powerfully built, and trained in all manner of combat and labor skills. They tend to serve as soldiers, guards, masons, blacksmiths, farmers, and other forms of manual laborers. Drones are much larger than the nobles, standing between 7 feet to 8 feet in height, and weighing 300-350 pounds. They tend to have drab or green colored skin, black hair, brown or black eyes, and heavy brows. Drones are duty bound and strive to fulfill their role their culture has allotted them. Drones are typically seen outside their settlements in the presence of other drones, usually under the command of a thrane noble. Drone Racial Traits (Advanced 14 RP)

• Type: Humanoid (human and orc) (0 RP) 

• Ability Scores: Thrane drones are physically strong and tough, but lack the mental fortitude of thrane nobles. They gain +4 Strength, +2 Constitution, –2 Intelligence. (4 RP) 

• Medium: Thrane drones are Medium creatures, and have no bonuses or penalties due to their size. (0 RP) 

• Speed: Thrane drones have a base speed of 30 feet. (0 RP) 

• Low-light Vision: Thrane drones can see twice as far as a race with normal vision in conditions of dim light. (1 RP)

• Easily Enchanted: Thrane drones receive a –1 penalty when making saving throws against charm or compulsion spells or effects. This penalty increases to –2 if the effects originate from a thrane noble. (–2 RP) 

• Ferocity: Whenever a thrane drone falls below 0, but it is not yet dead, it can continue to fight. If it does, it is staggered, and loses 1 hit point each round. The drone still dies when its hit points reach a negative amount equal to its Constitution score. (4 RP)

• Frenzy: Once per day, whenever a thrane drone takes damage, it flies into a frenzy for 1 minute, gaining a +2 racial bonus to Constitution and Strength, but a –2 penalty to AC. (2 RP) 

• Skills: Thrane drones gain a +2 racial bonus on Craft and Survival skill checks. (4 RP)

• Weapon Familiarity: Thrane drones are proficient with the heavy pick, light hammer, light pick, and warhammer. (1 RP)

• Languages: Thrane drones begin play speaking Common and Orc. Thrane drones with high Intelligence scores can choose any of the following: Draconic, Dwarven, Giant, Goblin, Orc, and Terran. (0 RP)
